Selected Articles from and Information about the Confederate States Medical and Surgical Journal, published in Richmond, VA during the Civil War.

This medical journal began being published in January 1864, and was a continuation of a pre-war publication, also edited by J. B. McCaw. McCaw solicited articles from surgeons across the Confederacy. Here are articles about the journal as well as selected articles from it.

Richmond Whig 8/25/1862; Surg. Coffin, of General Hospital No. 9, proposes to compile a book of interesting medical cases
