This is the typescript of the E. & H. T. Anthony Catalogue of Card Photographs (New York: 1862) that pertains to Brady's War Views. In the original catalog, this listing may be found on pages 13-16. The remainder of the catalog consist of commercial city views, etc. Many of these photographs were kept by Gardner when he left Brady's employ, and subsequently re-released with a new numbering system. Thus the overlap in the two catalogs. Note also that this catalog seems to be exclusively a listing of cartes de visite, with no stereoviews at all. Since Gardner re-released many of these in CDVs in stereo, it is obvious that the Anthonys were more interested in mass-production at the time and simply made two CDVs from each stereo negative.
