Encouraging. - Gen. Davis said in a short address which he delivered at the Spotswood House last night, in reply to an enthusiastic call on him by thousands of his fellow-citizens, that the cause of the South was in no danger, that the extent of the killed at Manassas Sunday on our side was four or five hundred, that our army had captured an immense amount of army stores, arms, &c., and enough provisions to last 50,000 soldiers a considerable time. - While regretting the death of our brave defenders, all must be pleased at the other results.
