From the Richmond Dispatch, 7/31/1861 , p. 2

Henrico Liberty Guard. - This is the name of a new company now in process of formation at the hall of Company “G.” The men already enlisted are being drilled by Lieut. Wm. L. Satterwhite, formerly of the Young Guard Battalion. Parties hereafter uniting their fortunes with the company, stand a chance of getting a commission, as the Captain and 2d Lieutenant are not yet elected. Volunteers are wanted for the defence of the realm. Let the young men do their duty in the present crisis, and all will be well.
