From the Richmond Dispatch, 9/6/1861

Surgeon De Villiere, of the U. S. Army, who had been on parole for some time in this city, attending the sick among the Federal prisoners, has not been seen here since last Thursday night, and is supposed to have escaped.

Private Hashell, a Federal prisoner, who had escaped from this city, was recaptured on last Tuesday, within ten miles of Newport News and brought back.
