From the Richmond Dispatch, 10/11/1862, p. 2, c. 5

A Yankee Female Spy Arrested. Frances F. Jamison, a white female, and a native of Orange county, New York, was arrested by a detachment of our forces near Culpeper Court-House, Virginia, a few days since, on suspicion of being a spy. She was, when found, on horseback, and proceeding along in a suspicious direction. It was deemed proper to send her to this city. She is now an inmate of the military prison of the Eastern District.
