From the Richmond Dispatch, 10/1/1862, p. 2, c. 3In Trouble. – Jason Brightwell, a member of Allen’s Artillery Battalion, Company “C,” was arrested last night by a detective of the Eastern District, on a complaint entered by Miles Ambler that-prisoner, with others, came to his house, ten miles below the city, on Monday, and by threats and pretending they were Confederate officers, made Mrs. Ambler give into their possession a valuable double-barrel fowling-piece. He was locked up in Castle Thunder, and will be turned over to the civil authorities to-day for examination.
