ST. CHARLES HOTEL, Oct. 25, 1862.

EDITORS DISPATCH: I respectfully acknowledge the reception of a box containing 22 feather pillows, a bundle of clothing, 12 bags of hops, a quantity of sage, balm, &c., and a number of vials, tendered to this hospital for the use of patients, by Mrs. G. W. Southworth, Mrs. Lucy R. Temple, Mrs. John V. Karr, Mrs. James Bell, Mrs. W. B. Whitbie, Miss Rhoda Adams, and the Misses Cobb; and in the name of the sick soldiers in this hospital, I tender them a soldiers thanks, and wish that the war cloud may soon be wafted away by the gentle breeze of peace, and that the sunshine of happiness may ever shed its golden beams upon them.
