From the Richmond Dispatch, 11/14/1862, p. 1, c. 3

A Deserter. – The only prisoner put in Castle Thunder yesterday was Charles Grace, lately before the Mayor for disorderly conduct, who is claimed as a deserter from company L, 18th Virginia regiment. Grace was sent up to the Rappahannock some time since to help build a bridge but left without permission and turned up in Richmond as the hero of a muss.
