From the Richmond Dispatch, 1/4/1862, p. 3, c. 3

LOST - On Wednesday evening, about 6 ˝ o’clk, on 2d street, between Broad and the General Hospital, a variegated SCARF, or Comfort, with a GOLD CLASP. I will give the finder double the real value of the clasp if he will leave it (with or without the scarf) at the General Hospital, in care of the Steward.
