Negro Shot. – A negro owned by Messrs. Talbott & Brother was shot after nightfall, Monday evening, while rising the hill near what is known as Cottage Row, by the Lancasterian School. The ball, which was discharged from the pistol of some unknown ruffian, entered the darkey’s arm, and produced quite a serious wound.
