From the Richmond Dispatch, 4/10/1862, p. 2, c. 4Escaped form the Penitentiary. – A convict in the Penitentiary, called Bill McDonald, lately sent up from this city, being sent out in the open lot of the institution yesterday to bring in a lot of wood, took French leave, and at a late hour last night had not been heard from.
