From the Richmond Dispatch, 4/11/1862, p. 2, c. 3

Would not Work. – A number of persons employed at Col. Duncan’s lithographic establishment, on Government work, hoping to increase their profits, yesterday refused to strike another lick unless their wages were considerably raised. In recording the sequel the reader will remember that these persons were getting good pay at the time. They slept, by order of Gen. Winder, in Castle Godwin last night.
