From the Richmond Dispatch, 4/12/1862, p. 2, c. 3

Hon. John M. Botts. We understand that this gentleman, who has been for some weeks past an inmate of Castle Godwin, on the charge of treason, was yesterday taken before the Court-Martial now in session here for trial. It is presumed that if the trial was begun it will not be concluded for several days. We are not prepared to say that it was; but it is very certain that Mr. Botts yesterday left Castle Godwin under guard, and proceeded to the Court-House, and returned to the Castle in the same manner.
