From the Richmond Dispatch, 4/28/1862, p. 2, c. 4Stealing Corn. – On Saturday a slave named Rosetta, owned by Dr. Parrish, was arrested for stealing a lot of corn from the Central railroad depot. The theft being established by incontestable evidence, the offender was ordered a whipping.
