Prisoner Shot. – A prisoner confined at Castle Godwin was shot about 10 o’clock on Wednesday night, for offering an indignity to one of the sentinels. The ball first struck a brick on the side of the wall and split itself, one part flying to an unknown place, the other making its way into the jaw of the prisoner. He was confined only on suspicion, and will hereafter refer, doubtless, to his wound as a souvenir of the war. Beyond the temporary inconvenience of a sore jaw for a time, it is not presumed he will be incommoded by his contest with the guards.
