From the Richmond Dispatch, 5/28/1862, p. 2, c. 3

The track between the Central Railroad and the Fredericksburg depot in this city, authorized to be constructed by resolution of the City Council, passed Monday afternoon, was commenced in a few minutes after permission was obtained, and had up to yesterday evening made considerable progress. It will be finished in a few days at farthest. The sills were brought down the Fredericksburg road yesterday and their distribution commenced immediately along the line of the proposed road.
