From the Richmond Dispatch, 6/24/1862, p. 1, c. 7Accident. – Miss Josephine Rupert, one of the young ladies engaged at St. Paul’s Church in fabricating equipments for the soldiers, repaired yesterday evening, with a number of her companions, to the belfry of the church, and while in that elevated position missed her footing and fell through the trap door, a distance of forty-five feet, to the floor below, containing the organ. Beyond the fright and bruising consequent on such an affair, she was not materially injured, and was able to be conveyed to her residence on French Garden Hill in a carriage. Her escape was a lucky one.
