From the Richmond Dispatch, 7/5/1862, p. 3, c. 6FIFTY DOLLARS REWARD. – Strayed or stolen, on Sunday, June 29, from Gen. Lee’s headquarters, at Dabb’s house, on the Nine Mile road, about a mile from the city limits, a handsome bay MARE, about 15 ½ hands high, six years old, with a cut on the back of the right fore leg, a little above the fetlock, which made her slightly lame. – The above reward will be paid for her return to Dabb’s house, or the Staff stables on Grace street, opposite the Capitol Square, or for such information as will enable the owner to recover her. The information to be left at Dabb’s house. jy 5 – 6t*
