From the Richmond Dispatch, 8/12/1862, p. 2, c. 1BAILEY’S FACTORY HOSPITAL, CORNER OF 7TH AND CARY STS. – I desire to express my thanks to Dr. Holt, of Woodville, Miss., for his generous contribution of clothing, bedding, wines, liquors, and condiments, to this hospital as representative of the “Mothers’ Association,” of that State, where those articles were much needed to make the wounded soldiers of the battle before Richmond comfortable. I also acknowledge the receipt of liberal donations from Mr. Munford, Chairman of the Y.M.C.A. of Richmond. I cannot forget the constant devotion of the ladies of this city in ministering to the wants of all. They still visit us with the same untiring energy, softening the pillows of those who have been forced into a lingering confinement by the severity of their wounds. JAS. M. HOLLOWAY, au 12 – 1t*
