From the Richmond Dispatch, 8/2/1862, p. 2, c. 7BATTERY
No. 2, MARION HILL, THIRTY DOLLARS REWARD. – Private JNO. N. EUBANK, a member of my company, being absent without leave, and therefore considered a deserter, the above reward will be paid for his delivery to me at Marion Hill, Battery No. 2, or at Castle Godwin. The said Eubank is 36 years of age; hazel eyes, curly black hair, rather gray; dark complexion; 5 feet 7 ¾ inches high, and a carpenter by trade. J. W. BARLOW, Capt.
