From the Richmond Dispatch, 9/30/1862, p. 2, c. 2Lieut. R. M. Booker, Assistant Provost Marshal for the western district, will send off this morning to Winchester, Va., under guard, one hundred men, who have been confined in the prison under his charge for various periods, ranging from days to months, for such offences as desertion, &c.
