From the Richmond Dispatch, 8/15/1862
Arrived. – Cols. Corcoran and Wilcox, Maj. Potter,
U. S. A., and Lieut. Thos. Hamblin, 38th New York regiment, together
with other Federal prisoners, have been brought to Richmond from Salisbury, N.
C., for the purpose of being exchanged. The privates in the above lot, some
several hundred in number, were sent to Belle Isle, the officers to the Libby
prison. It has not yet been announced when the next flag of truce will start.
