PRISON MORTUARY RECORD. – The number of prisoners
interred in the Shockoe Hill Burying Ground for the past quarter, ending October
31st, was 247. Of these, one hundred and eighty-three were white
males, fifty-nine white females, and ninety-nine prisoners of war. There were
also five still born babes.
