From the Richmond Enquirer, 11/25/1861
DIED IN PRISON. - The following prisoners of war died at
the Confederate States prison during the last week:
James Carlile, company B, 79th New York Regiment; Charles Lamb,
company A, 15th Massachusetts Regiment; and Israel B. Newcombe,
(citizen) of Fairfax.
The deceased prisoners were all decently interred in the
burial ground reserved for that purpose by the Government.
