SAD CASE OF DROWNING. – On yesterday afternoon, a little son of Mr. John M. Francisco, Commissioner of the Revenue for Jefferson Ward, was playing about the dock at the foot of twentieth street, which projected nearly to the edge of the wharf, he fell in and was drowned before assistance could be rendered. His body was recovered in half an hour afterward, and resuscitation was attempted by Dr. Higginbotham, physician for the Confederate prison in the vicinity, who adopted Marshall Hall’s method, but without avail. The body was taken home where it was received by its distresses parents with unspeakable grief.
