From the Richmond Enquirer, 7/4/1862, p. 1, c. 5

RAILROAD ACCIDENT. – We learn that an accident occurred on the Richmond and Danville Railroad, yesterday afternoon, between Chula and Amelia Court House, killing five person – two whites and three negroes. We regret to learn that among the killed was the son of Mr. Horace L. Kent, of this city. Several persons were also badly wounded.
