RECORDER'S COURT - April 6, 1863. - The case of Thomas M. Palmer, Surgeon of the Florida Hospital, charged with participating in the riot of last Thursday, was called up, pursuant to continuance.

Messrs. G. W. Randolph and J. H. Gilmer appeared as counsel for the accused.

Governor Letcher and other witnesses repeated their testimony given last Friday.

After hearing evidence and the argument of counsel, the Recorder sent the prisoner on to be tried before the Judge of the Circuit Court of the City of Richmond for being present in Main street during the riot on Thursday last and refusing to depart when lawfully commanded to do so by John Letcher, Governor of Virginia, and Joseph Mayo, Mayor of the city of Richmond. The accused was admitted to bail in the sum of $1,000, to appear before the Circuit Court on the first day of May to answer for the said offence.
