                    In obedience to orders, I visited the various apartments as Officer [of the] Day & beg leave to report the Hospital in good condition. The mess hall of the 1^st Division under the supervision of Mrs. Newton, being conducted in a superior style, and in fact the entire hospital will compare with any Hospital in the Confederacy.
