Sir:
St. Francis de Sales Hospital will
be opened for the reception of Wounded.
I desire that you only transfer to it cases in which Amputations or
resections have been performed.
Thirty (30) cases can be received.
They are now only prepared for the reception of fifteen (15) cases.
You are further directed to place
this class of cases when in the hospital under your charge in the same ward and
under the charge of one or two Assistant Surgeons who have been found most
expert dressers.
