Sir:
In this morning’s reports of
Howard’s Grove Hospital, I find “Surgeon Wilkins absent without leave.” A
similar report was received a few days since. At the same Hos. a Surgeon and 2
Assist. Surgeons are reported off duty from sickness, and Surgeon Palmer reports
that attending on his own duties and those of other officers absent has
overtaken his strength.
You will please explain your
absence from your post.
