WASHINGTON NEWS.

A VISIT TO RICHMOND.

Col. ROBERT JOHNSON, Major LONG, Mrs. PATTERSON and Mrs. Col. STOVER, of the President’s household; Mrs. And Miss HARLAN, wife and daughter of the Secretary of the Interior, and Miss GAY, of Tennessee, left here this afternoon in the government steamer River Queen for a short visit to Richmond. It is expected that the River Queen will leave the persons above named in Richmond, return immediately, and that the President will leave here on that vessel day after to-morrow, and pay a short visit to the Richmond people, who are anxious to have a Presidential call, that they may show their respect for the Chief Magistrate.
