VIRGINIA MILITARY INSTITUTE.

An official dispatch received yesterday, announces “on what seems good authority” that the enemy burned the buildings of the Virginia Military Institute at Lexington, on Sunday last. The Cadets are at present at Rope Ferry, Balcony Falls.

We are sorry to learn of the above destructions, but it is not much worse that we expected from our loving brethren, the Yankees.
