From the Richmond Whig, Wednesday, 6/4/1862 , p. 1

THE HOSPITALS. - There is still a lack of attendants and nurses at the Hospitals, especially for night service. No man or woman who has strength and time should fail when duties of this sort are to be performed. We sincerely hope the present want may be immediately relieved.

We hear that the St. Charles Hospital is in an insufferably filthy condition. The matter calls for the attention of the Surgeon General.
