From the Richmond Whig, 7/30/1864, p. 1, c. 5SENT TO THE CASTLE. - Two subjects that were before the Mayor this morning, were sent to the Castle. One was the infamous scoundrel Bill Gentry, who recently broke from the Castle; the other was John Calahan, a Yankee deserter, who was arrested, on the charge of stealing some furniture from a woman of ill fame.
