From the Richmond Whig, 9/3/1864, p. 1, c. 5RECORDER'S COURT. - ...Emanuel Raymond was charged with stealing three hogs belonging to the Almshouse Hospital. It seemed that the hogs having gotten into Raymond's cornfield during his absence, his negro and a German youth put them up in a hog house, when the employees of the hospital finding them, charged Raymond with stealing them. The Recorder dismissed the case and discharged Raymond. [remainder of cases not transcribed.]
