$30 REWARD will be paid for the apprehension
and delivery at the Quartermaster’s Office, 115 Broad street, or at
the Marine Camp, near Drewry’s Bluff, of any one of the following
described deserters from the Marine Corps:

Private THEODORE DAVIS, aged 25, 5 feet 9
inches high, blue eyes, black hair, florid complexion.

The attention of recruiting officers is
particularly called to the above advertisement, as it is suspected
these men will re-enlist for the benefit of the bounty as often as
