From the Richmond Dispatch, 7/22/1862, p. 1, c. 6The Confederate authorities expect to send 500 wounded Yankees home to- day. Lists are now being prepared of all prisoners now on hand and heretofore received in Richmond during the war. The well ones now on Belle Isle will be delayed by the request preferred by McClellan, that he shall be personally furnished with a list of all our prisoners, whether now dead or alive. His object is to allay the fears of their relatives by its publication at the North – at least so he has alleged.
