MISS VAN LEW IN EXTREMIS
Had Two Sinking Spells and Thought to Be Dying This Morning.

Miss Lizzie Van Lew was thought to be dying at 3 o’clock this morning.

She has been growing weaker for several days, and had a sinking spell yesterday afternoon at 4 o’clock. She rallied from this, and was able to walk, with assistance, to drink some tea, but before midnight she had another spell, which left her unconscious.

Miss Van Lew is nearly 86 years of age.
