From the Richmond Enquirer, 7/9/1862, p. 2

RESUMING OPERATIONS. - Operations are being resumed on the Central Railroad, and all the stock removed thence is now being returned, over the temporary track on Broad street. On Monday, while one of the heavy engines was being slowly steamed down the hill, it slipped off and upset. The fireman and engineer escaped. The engine was not seriously damaged, and will soon be on the track again.
