RECEIVING HOSPITAL, Dec. 14, 1862,
MESSRS. EDITORS: -
Among the sick who came in last night was a young man who died upon the cars on
his way to this city. Not knowing his name, company or regiment, I thought it
best to inform his friends of the only means left them to identify him, viz: On
his haversack is the name of J. A. Fancher, and on his bible is written the name
of A. F. Wood.
W. H. COFFIN,
Surgeon in charge.
