MISCELLANEOUS POLICE ITEMS. - The following cases were briefly disposed of by the Mayor on yesterday:

Silas Maxfield and Betsy Martin, free negroes, were ordered twenty lashes each for fighting and disturbing the inmates of Hospital No. 18, on 22nd street.
