Sir:
Such of the sick & wounded under
your control (not paroled) as will not be fit for duty in 10 days and will not
be injured by transportation will be transferred to other Hospls out of
Richmond. Please get them in readiness and report the number to leave.
One hundred (100) will leave tomorrow at 4 ¾ PM from the
Danville Depot of Farmville & the same number the next evening. A Medl Officer &
4 nurses will attend them with the necessary medicines & stimulants. The men
will be fed before leaving & furnished with proper provisions for the trip. They
should be at the train at 4 o’clk precisely.
