Asst Surgeons on duty at the Chimborazo
Hospital
will select before the 1st day of April next whether they will
occupy quarters at the Hospital or draw commutation for quarters from the
quarter master.
Asst Surgeons accepting quarters at the Hospital will be
furnished with fuel & stabling, including the use of the Hospital
ostlers[sic] and attendants.
Asst Surgeons drawing commutation cannot use the Hospital
stables or ostlers[sic], or the fuel drawn for the use of the Hospital &
must select their quarters so that they may be able to fulfil all the duties
required by the regulations.
All Asst Surgeons whether in quarters or drawing
commutation must be prepared to take their regular turn of night duty at the
Hospitals as required by the regulations.
The Hospital provisions are intirely for the use of the
sick and cannot be used by the Medical officers of the institution.
There are now accommodations for twelve Asst Surgeons and if more than that
number select quarters at the Hospital, additional accommodations will be
furnished.
