SHIPMENT OF
POWDER AND SHELL TO CHARLESTON.
PETERSBURG, Va.,
Jan. 19, 1861.
One thousand kegs of powder and twenty thousand pounds of
shot and shell from the Tredegar Works, Richmond, left this morning, by special
train by the Weldon and Wilmington Railroad, destined to Charleston, to the
order of Governor Pickens.
