MISS VAN LEW’S EFFECTS.

Special to The New York Times.

RICHMOND, Va., Oct. 24. – The personal property, bric-a-brac, and other portable belongings of the late Miss Elizabeth Van Lew, whose services to the Union cause made her notable, have been sent to Boston. There, under the direction of Executor S. P. Reynolds, they will be disposed of at public auction.

Miss Van Lew’s Boston and other Northern friends will, it is understood, erect a monument over her grave in Shockoe Cemetery here. On it will be an inscription recording the aid rendered to the Union cause by Miss Van Lew.
